Windy City Power is incorporated as a limited liability company in the state of Illinois and is headquartered at 600 N 1st Bank Drive/ Palatine, Illinois 60067. The Company will do business as Windy City Green Power.

Founder Dan Cummane is a life-long Chicago native who became fascinated by wind energy and its potential urban applications. Dan was the construction manager for Loyola University's Richard J. Klarchek Information Commons, which was named best New Construction in Chicago by the Chicago Building Congress (CBC). This 86,000 square foot, $22 million dollar building is located right on Lake Michigan.

One evening Dan stood on the roof of the Loyola project in a stiff wind and formulated his ideas, thus laying the framework for the Company. The Delta Institute of Chicago has been instrumental in providing guidance for the Company. Soon Victoria Wright, an attorney with roots in Southeast Wisconsin and Chicago, followed by Tom Piazza, President of Murray and Trettel, Inc. (dba Weather Command), a Chicago area meteorological consulting firm, became involved with the Company.

Windy City Power, LLC is fully owned equally by the three Members, Daniel Cummane (President and Chief Operating Officer), Victoria Wright (Vice President and Secretary) and Thomas Piazza (Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
